David Wardale has entered discussions with Alan Fozard (author of a business plan for a modernised 'Turbomotive'), about preparing a business plan for raising the necessary finance to enable the 21st Century locomotive project to be realised. While this background work is under way I expect that the project will be out of the public eye and that it will be a while before there is more solid news to report. The necessity of finding commercial backing to cover the large sums involved, and only then starting production work, means that there won't be a stream of news bites about each latest component to be assembled. We will make any developments known in this magazine, but meanwhile a lack of obvious news is not going to mean that nothing is happening.

Opinions and comments have been received which will deserve an airing in these pages, but due to lack of space I have had to hold these over till the next issue.
